MySQL is the world’s largest open source database software and is used by many of the largest computer organization.
In order to be considered as a MySQL job candidate, extensive experience with the MySQL platform is required including tasks such as database migration, restoration, and implementation. A DBA should have experience with day-to-day database operation and administration as well as the ability to assist the IT team on a general basis. A candidate should also be able to estimate project duration and resource cost.
A MySQL DBA must be able to adapt and move between different jobs and tasks when called to do so. The ability to work in a team environment to ensure the success of all implementations is also required.
