ColdFusion is a software language that uses an application server to aid in Internet application development. It is distinguished from other scripting languages in that it can include server side and embedded scripts similar to JavaScript called cfscript. Individuals who work with the software generally assist in the design, development and monitoring of dynamic web sites and intranet platforms that can be attached to a backend database. Developers can also generate remote services and handle asynchronous events via the interface.
