JOB DESCRIPTION
The Java Developer will be working in a team environment on the full lifecycle development of highly scalable / high availability software applications using Java, OOAD, C++ and RIA technologies.
Primary responsibilities will include:
• Working with Product Management teams to identify, prioritize and document detailed product requirements
• Designing and developing Java and RIA applications/ framework code using OOAD Concepts, Java, C++, Flex, Flash, Action Script, AIR, Groovy, Ruby, etc.
• Utilizing a knowledge of open-source frameworks including Spring, Hibernate and JUnit
• Developing web services using XML-RPC, SOAP and/or REST
• Working in a UNIX systems environment with RDBMS such as Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Creating robust, automated unit and functional tests and application deployment scripts
• Working with QA teams on performance and user acceptance testing
• Providing seamless integration with Java environments.
• Supporting applications through prototype and deployment phases.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Required Bachelors Degree in an IT field with 3-5+ years experience in the IT Industry
• Demonstrated experience working on full lifecycle software development projects
• Expert Object Oriented Programming experience with Java, C++
• Strong open source development using Java, Spring, Hibernate
• Good working experience with RDBMS including Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Some UNIX experience (Solaris, UNIX, AIX or Linux + Shell Scripting)
• Proficient in developing SOAP and XML-RPC Web Services
• Experience with RIA application development using Adobe Flex / AIR is a plus!
Any additional knowledge of cutting edge information and network security technologies including SSL Digital Certificates, Identity/Access management solutions and Content Management solutions is a plus!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / HOW TO APPLY
Salary Range: $70,000 - $110000 / DOE
