Location: Downtown
The team lead leads multiple project teams and provides lead oversight to ensure project requirements are met on time and on budget. He/She acts as a liaison between the development team and the project managers to ensure project status reporting. The incumbent will provide leadership to the technical team and project resource oversight and coordination. Other responsibilities include:
¿ Ensures that all requirements prescribed by the business line product team for the software development project are understood and met. Gathers additional information from the project manager, stakeholders, or users to accomplish this.
¿ Coordinates and provides software development estimates to support business requests.
¿ Works closely with Software Development Manager to determine appropriate staffing levels and identify qualified resources.
¿ Coordinates build and release process with the ALM and PMO teams to ensure process and communication standards are met.
¿ Provides task and resource supervision across multiple project teams and in doing so provides project scope oversight.
¿ Provides regular project status updates to Software Development Manager and Project Manager
¿ Ensures solutions are technically appropriate and are balanced against available resources and business, budget, and technical needs.
¿ Ensure software projects approach meet long-term departmental architectural goals.
The ideal candidate will typically possess the following:
¿ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or information systems management or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
¿ A minimum of seven (7) years experience required, nine (9) years preferred, in software development or software engineering in a large sized enterprise with a mature software development lifecycle (SDLC) involving Software Configuration Management processes
¿ A minimum of three years experience in leading software development project preferred.
¿ Experience with a combination of C#/VB .Net, ASP, VB, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, Java, Linux, Web Services and XML preferred.
¿ In-depth experience and expertise in software development technologies including SOA
¿ Experience with the systems design and development process, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, and utilization of methodologies of the SDLC (e.g., piloting and iterative software development, deployment, and support)
