HP-UX Jobs

HP UX system administrators work within a company’s technology sector to maintain and control the HP UX computer systems and networks. Individuals who qualify for this position must be familiar and understand the workings of a standard HP UX system. They must be able to perform well with an established IT department and team with other people in order to provide the best possible service to the company. Adjustments to the system on all levels are required as well as handling the needs of daily control operations. Candidates will need to analyze the system and report any data challenges or network instability immediately and make changes, modifications or tweaks if necessary. Installation and updates of system information are a must. Backups and testing of back up systems will also be this person’s responsibility. The HP UX system administrator should have good organizational skills and be able to make logistical decisions in a timely manner. HP UX-based servers should be a familiar concept, and the candidate should maintain a certain level of certification in order to monitor and run the facility. Presentations and processing of data are occasionally required as well. The person should also maintain a professional appearance and strive for the highest quality skills possible.
