Technical Communications Jobs

Technical communication jobs include positions such as content developer, instructional designer, and technical trainers and writers. Each supports the distribution of information regarding newly developed software products. For example, technical writers produce written manuals and materials to instruct end-users on proper software utilization; instructional designers create a curriculum to encompass the full orientation of the features, functions and benefits of a new software and trainers deliver the plan created by instructional designers through the classroom, web, product demos or one-on-one sessions.

All have to interface with end-users and act as a liason able to translate technical topics into plain language. Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills, and a strong writing background are required.
