BI also provides an increased understanding of market behavior. A BI analyst is the person who brings the necessary knowledge and skills. The technology refers to very powerful computer applications that can create flexible and dependable reports. The BI analyst must understand how to use applications such as Crystal Reports, a widely used enterprise database reporting package. With these applications, the BI analyst can create both standard and custom reports to help solve problems or better plan new events.
