Informatica Jobs
Informatica offers complete software for ETL, data extraction, transformation, and loading. Informatica is widely used in the financial, insurance, health care and communications industries for data warehousing. A developer will be in charge of the complete process of applying ETL, and will sometimes oversee a staff of analysts and technicians. Responsibilities can include data migration, consolidation, governance, synchronization, and integration from a number of sources. A degree in a computer science field is almost always required, coupled with several years in the field of data transformation and mapping. A developer needs to be familiar with multiple database platforms which may vary with particular job requirements but can include Oracle, Cognos, SQL, AIX, SAP and flat files. Communication skills are expected. Because of the massive amounts of data handled, security clearances are often required.
