Modis is seeking to find a Software Engineer for a client of ours in the Lexington Kentucky area. If the following position below describes your experiences as a Java Developer, then we may just have the right client for you. 


Description and Responsibilities: Software Engineer is responsible for assigned software development and configuration efforts. 
Designs technical specifications from System Requirements; 
develops specific configurations of Application software including configuration, customization and extension, integration to other systems and hardware devices; 
develops subsystems and customizations of existing systems performs unit and system testing of specific configurations; 
deploys and supports customer implementations; possess knowledge of programming languages; develops and applies knowledge in additional programming languages. 

Qualifications and Education: 
3-5 years of relevant software engineering experience. 

BS degree in computer science or related field. 

3-5 Years experience in: The candidate shall possess the following experience or skills, unless annotated otherwise, in the following order of priority; • 
Enterprise Java SDK (J2EE preferred but not required) • 
Enterprise Java Engineer • 
Enterprise Java experience • 
XML • Web Services Development (strongly desired) • 
Spring and/or Hibernate Frameworks (desired one or more) • 
Good self-disciplined SW documentation skills • 
Oracle or a comparable RDBS /SQL exp. • 
Adobe Flex Builder (preferred) • 
Eclipse IDE • 
SubVersion SCM Toolset (or understanding / use of version control) • 
Secure Web Service Protocols (WSRM) (optional) • 
SAML Assertions (optional) • 
SAP interfaces (optional) • 
DoD encryption protocols, network restrictions, Information Assurance processes (optional) -
