WebMethods provides enterprise class business process integration tools which increase businesses process efficiency and implementation. Current IT structures are integrated into a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) providing optimal Business Process Management (BPM) increasing productivity and Return on Investment (ROI). webMethods developers usually encounter various software packages because of the integration power of the system.

A typical developer will be required to install, configure, maintain, and document projects as well as language development using JAVA or other Object Oriented (OO) languages. Knowledge of other systems that use JAVA and related languages, API development, and database connections may also be necessary. The knowledge of XML from various sources, SOAP and related protocols, and security of the system integration should also be a demonstrated ability. The ability to combine information from various relational databases ranging from ORACLE to MySQL is required and a firm understanding of PL/SQL, SQL, stored procedures, and triggers is desired. Education requirements usually are a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related technical degrees to the position.
