SAN Jobs

The storage area network (SAN) is a system construction allowing for remote storage devices to be attached to servers to enable them to operate as part of the local network. These complicated computer networks are usually created by large organizations with many access points for a large number of users. Advantages include multiple servers sharing storage space on the disk arrays. It also allows for rebooting a computer from the SAN.

SAN Analysts are network troubleshooters. They design, evaluate and test the SAN, recommending software and hardware for the system. SAN Administrators install, configure and support the SAN ensuring that all users can access the network. Prior SAN administration experience is required as well as a background in Windows and / or UNIX administration, and experience performing performance tuning and load management as it relates to SAN. Individuals should possess excellent communication skills and be experienced in interfacing with technical teams.
