3rd Shift Production Manager role in East of Raleigh, NC(Zebulon, NC)

Position Summary:
The Production Manager will ensure facilities operate at the highest level of safety, quality, delivery, and cost during the night shift.    The Night Shift Production Manager will have technical responsibility in manufacturing and will be hands on to ensure all production and warehousing activities are conducted safely, effectively and in line with policy and procedure.  The Night Shift Production Manager will work with all night shift personnel to train, evaluate, and coach the individuals and teams to achieve personal and departmental goals.  They will participate in developing and implementing continuous improvements across the facilities. In addition, the Night Shift Production Manager will be responsible Maintenance and Quality associates on this shift.
 
Role Qualifications:
• Must be able to motivate, coach and develop associates skills and capabilities through action plans and training.  
• Must prepare daily plans and assign work schedules to meet production schedules across both facilities.
• Must be able to assist continuous improvement efforts affecting safety, quality, culture and cost.
• Must have reliable transportation and excellent driving record. (inter-plant transportation is required)
 
Job Responsibilities, tasks, and candidate attributes:
• Responsible for the 2 Manufacturing facilities
• Balances safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
• Supervises associates and communicates departmental performance measures, goals, budgets, visual controls and provides feedback to associates and management.  
• Supervises standard operating procedures and ensures standard work is followed using Lean concepts.
• Capable in analyzing data while investigating issues around quality and able to determine root cause of quality issues and develops corrective action plans.  
• Performs accident investigations as well 5s Audits.
• Manages department priorities, schedules, night shift production associates time and attendance.  
• Is responsible for all other duties as assigned within the role as Production Manager
 
Job Qualifications
• 4-year College Degree is preferred
• 3 -5 years’ Supervisory experience preferred
• Previous work experience in a Lean Sigma Manufacturing Environment a plus
• Previous work experience and proficiency in an ERP Manufacturing Environment a plus
• Leadership style that demonstrates the ability to lead people and get results through others as a leader.
• Planning ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.
• Supervision, including employee hiring, training, retention, performance review and discipline.
• Strong, proven management skills are a must which include, but are not limited to, the ability to be consistent, self-starter, fair, and honest as well as being held accountable for their own performance.
