Contract: 12 months

Job Description:

Fabrication of fiberglass components and assemblies
Prototyping advanced glass and carbon fiber composite components for wind turbine blades
Composite layup and molding using vacuum resin infusion and hand layup
Operate, shop and laboratory equipment, layup stations, ply cutter, molds, resin & epoxy mixing systems
Optimiz e processes to produce high quality parts with required consistency, reliability
Troubleshoot and diagnose a wide variety of technical issues
Drive process i mprovement and equipment modification and monitor impact on the manufacture of parts
Document standard operating procedures for daily operations, inspections, maintenance, EHS and safety compliance
Team with design engineering and other stakeholders to improve process capability and manufacturing ability
Perform other assign ed duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

Experience with production of fiber composite components such as wind turbine blades and boat hulls as well as operating relevant equipment & prior experience with layup, molding, and/or manufacturing with composites
Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, and written instructions
Previous knowledge of fixture de sign a plus
