Looking for qualified candidates to fill a Ruby on Rails Developer job in Jersey City, New Jersey. This candidate is responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations.

This position is specifically for an experienced Ruby on Rails developer with 7+ years experience, in the Jersey City area who can immediately become a productive member of a small scrum team. Financial services experience is required, as well as experience developing message based, transactional applications with web-services APIs (SOAP, REST) and DB back-ends.

  • Financial Experience
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related filed
  • Ruby on Rails programming
  • Messaging/API/Transactional processing (REST, SOAP, MQ, XML, HTTP)
  • Database programming with PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2 or other RDBMS.
