POSITION SUMMARY:
 
Modis is partnering with one of the largest global management consulting firms to find a well-rounded and tech-savvy Digital Developer to support their Global Marketing Team. This role offers a great opportunity to cultivate one’s technical skills while also interfacing with a variety of audiences across multiple functions, countries, and cultures.
 
The perfect candidate will be someone with a unique skill set: the rare and exceptional combination of both front-end web development and technical application support. The Digital Developer will be both the foundation and the innovator of both current and future Marketing projects. They will collaborate with Marketing, other IT teams, and vendors to support, develop, deliver, and design applications, websites, and reporting systems.
 
This is a one-of-a-kind fusion of release management, technical support, and maintenance development responsibilities as well as a consulting role for project-based work. The successful candidate will be someone who flexible, adaptable, and able to excel both as a team member and on individual tasks.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 


  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and develop external websites as well as mobile and social media applications
  • Manage deployments to production and test servers
  • Technical support of CMS platform
  • Research, identify, and implement new technologies that improve the functionality and performance of sites and/or decrease costs and maintenance
  • Act as a liaison for the Global Marketing to ensure timely handling of support tickets
  • Drive for continual improvement of team processes including version control, process control, backup management, documentation, requirements gathering, etc.
  • Collaborate with other IT groups (DBAs, Security, Infrastructure, etc.) to ensure optimal set up and management of sites

 
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
 


  • C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS3
  • Responsive web development experience
  • SQL (MS SQL Server)
  • Web Content Management System experience: SDL Tridion a plus
  • 3rd part API integration experience; Google Analytics, ExactTarget, etc. a plus.
  • Source code control: SVN, TFS
  • Operating Systems:  Windows Server 2008R2 (IIS 7.5), 2012 (IIS 8, 8.5)
  • iOS development experience a plus
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and current technologies
  • Infrequent travel required

 
KEY COMPENTENCIES:
 


  • Strong experience with hands-on technical development
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure balancing several responsibilities
  • Flexible, committed and reliable member off a cross functional team, including outsourced vendors
  • Good communication skills (oral and written), comfortable with a variety of audiences across multiple functions, countries and cultures.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment
  • It is necessary to have the ability to understand and manage complex reporting relationships and incorporate multiple labor laws and cultures.
  • Sometimes requires 24x7 support

 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • At least 1 year of developing and supporting public websites and/or web applications
  • Solid knowledge of web architectures is a plus (hosting, security, database, CMS, CDN)
  • Passion to stay current with latest digital and mobile trends and functionality
