We are recruiting on an Application Support Manager job in Rochester, NY 14618.
 
The Application Support Manager is responsible for planning, assigning, and directing the professional and technical personnel involved in the design, development, testing, and implementation of software applications. The Application Support Manager ensures that business and Information Technology (IT) systems are in alignment, and that systems are implemented in accordance with the company’s strategy and requirements. The Enterprise Architecture Manager links the business mission, strategy, and processes of the company to its IT strategy, and utilizes various tools to document and demonstrate how the current and future needs of the company will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.  
 
Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, and manage multiple responsibilities to achieve project objectives; technically guide projects through to completion.
• Manage high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits.
• Work with business stakeholders to design and architect innovative solutions that meet the business needs.
• Manage the portfolio of applications including hot fixes, upgrades, enhancements, licensing, and vendor relationships.
• Promote a strategic IT model that meets the needs of the organization according to the business strategy and goals of the organization.
• Provide leadership and vision to the enterprise architecture team.
• Work closely with other IT managers to address any inter-dependence concerns between application, infrastructure, operations, and data management.
• Communicate effectively with direct reports, supervisors, and peers.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Ability to lead people, provide direction, and set clear objectives.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent influencing and reasoning skills;  good at conflict resolution and consensus building.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent project management and time-management skills.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Ability to keep up with the industry trends and innovations.
• Strong experience using the Microsoft BI stack for complex business intelligence development.
• Expert working knowledge of database modeling techniques.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
 
Required Education and/or Credentials:
• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in IT field.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft platform technologies, especially SQL Server BI tools.
