Full-time, permanent hire Architectural job near the west side of Chicago, IL is available courtesy of Modis. The ideal candidate would possess an architecture degree with recent commerical or retail experience. The candidate will be working with mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers along with the architect to create new and modifying existing construction plans for mid to high-end restaurants while being exposed to some light design elements in the near future.

There is growth associated with this role as you become more comfortable with their high-profile commercial clientele as well as meeting/exceeding performance expectations.

Conveniently located within one block of Metra train stop.

Job responsibilities include and not limited to the following:

Responsible for the design and layout of new and existing mid to high-end restaurant renovations on a national scale utilizing AutoCAD 2017.
Coordinates with internal staff of architects, engineers, interior designers and other teams to ensure construction documents meet their customers' needs.

Establishes schedules and weekly staffing needs; monitors production of documents to meet deadlines of overall project schedule

Submits, reviews, tracks, and directs responses to permit comments, shop drawings, and RFIs in a timely manner


Bachelor’s and/or Masters degree of Architecture is required.
AutoCAD and Acrobat is required.
Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign experience are helpful.
