The AX Business Analyst job will work closely with accounting users capturing requirements including process opportunities, needs for new or enhanced capabilities, training, support, and reporting needs. This role uses knowledge of business applications and accounting processes to develop and recommend appropriate configurations, reporting, and process re-engineering based on user needs and business priorities.

• Partner with the business units to develop an understanding of their business processes, assess end user needs and evaluate proposed system related projects.
• Utilize expertise of application features to recommend solutions that meet business requirements and resolve questions related to process changes impacting applications.
• Provide ongoing system support, make decisions that best resolves product related issues and appropriately escalate issues that require IT and/or business unit management involvement.
• Document high level and detailed accounting functional requirements, functional designs, including business process flow charts, current state, future state, gaps, training materials, and end user documentation.
• Create test plans for implemented software and provide training on software changes when appropriate.
• Test the accuracy and completeness of all enhancements and customizations of Microsoft Dynamics AX.
• Support user system audit.

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, or Finance.
• Two years’ experience in process analysis, with 1-2 years supporting finance and accounting.
• Two plus years’ experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 as system admin
• Experience generating system and/or custom reports and workflows in Dynamics AX.
• Experience developing documents for business requirements and process workflow diagrams.
• Familiar with INCOTERMS and International Trade.
• Familiar with accounting process, such as GL, AP, AR and Inventory and month end process will be an advantage.
• Strong business aptitude and the ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team, effectively manage multiple priorities, and solve complex problems.
