Modis is currently searching for a Business Analyst job in Boston, MA. The candidate will participate as a business partner and will work with the business, IT and operations teams to determine an optimal solution for the business /systems architecture while providing industry best practices and regulatory mandates to the solution.  The Business Analyst documents business processes, conducts user acceptance testing, manages and resolves work requests and liaises with Technology to ensure accurate execution of initiatives.
• Work with IT partners, front office, Operations, and Legal teams to determine optimal solutions incorporating current systems
• Analyze and document the artifacts for the project – i.e. business requirements, business use cases and test cases
• Collaborate with business and IT to refine functional and business requirements, in order to finalize specifications
• Define and document current and future state operation models as required
• University degree in business/Finance
• 5 years experience in Business Analysis experience within financial services
• Familiarity with cleared products/markets and commissions on cleared derivatives is required
• Strong Investment business knowledge, with emphasis in derivatives trading and operations, with 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analysis in Derivatives/Investment IT Application Management
• MBA, CFA, FRM or similar certification would be an asset
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in an international setting
• FINDUR, Apex Collateral Management System, and Bloomberg or similar derivatives application knowledge is desirable
