Job Description:
The Sr. Business Analyst will be dedicated to project work for Television Networks and The Senior Business Analyst in IT serves as a primary interface to the business users, with the guidance from a business relationship manager to assist the ADM teams in understanding the business processes, workflows, and information requirements of the users.
 
The Business Analyst will primarily serve in the support of the current and future applications and the requirement analysis process. Providing consulting on reactive, proactive and enhancement support services, as well as testing services to one or many applications.
 
Responsibilities include the following:


  • Collect, review, analyze, manage, system and user requirements from business users and translate them into user stories and associated acceptance criteria
  • Document detailed functional & data business requirements, process flows, use cases, training material and facilitate UAT process
  • Work with the Dev team to clarify functional requirements and validate user acceptance criteria
  • Primary liaison to QA team, create test scenarios and perform UAT
  • Ensures that delivery of project requirements meets the requirements defined by the business customer

 
Qualifications and/or Experience Required

  • 3+ recent years’ experience in the Entertainment Industry, preferably within Television Distribution, Home Entertainment Distribution and/or Finance working as a subject matter expert
  • 3+ recent years’ experience in an agile environment with preferred experience working in a scrum tool like Jira or Pivotal Tracker
  • Working knowledge of SQL (2+ Years)
  • Working knowledge of Rightsline and Bebanjo
  • Strong Functional Specifications and User Requirements Skills a must
  • Be a self-starter, someone that can operate independently with minimal guidance
  • Experience working in large scale system implementations with exposure in all phases of a project (from requirements through deployment)
  • Evidence of business acumen to communicate effectively with business and IT in day-to-day operations and delivery of IT services
  • Knowledge of cross functional understanding of core line of business processes and value chain services (i.e. Title & Rights, Contracts and Deals, Programming and Scheduling and Finance) a big plus
