POSITION: Business Systems Analyst / Quality Assurance
The IT Business Systems Analyst / Quality Assurance is responsible for collaborating with the business to develop detailed business requirements and responsible for testing the solution against the requirements. Must have a comprehensive understanding of technology to translate business requirements into technology documents and be able to effectively communicate with Software Engineers. The position also requires the understanding of Quality Assurance and the ability to test the solutions against the requirements. The position requires a strong business acumen in order to be able to create workflows and identify risks and gaps between the business and systems as well as ensuring that the solution is ready for production.

1. Analyzes requirements and defines enhancements to existing and new business application software.
2. Document detailed requirements (use cases, functional and non-functional, report) with participation from all stakeholders (business users and IT resources administrators).  
3. In collaboration with the business, identifies solutions by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
4. Ensure that requirements are written for audit compliance, successful solution development and generation of quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT) test cases.
5. Test the solution against the detailed requirements.
6. Responsible for the test plan and test findings documentation and communication issues with the Development staff.
7. Determine with the Software Development Manager and UAT business representative the recommendation to promote the solution to production and deliver the test summary artifact.
8. Maintains system protocols by writing and updating requirements.
9. Works directly with Software Development Manager and other IT personnel to understand project concept, objectives, and approach of software development projects.
10. Able to work independently.
11. Other duties as assigned.

10. Experience in technical documentation.
11. Experience in Quality Assurance testing principles
12. Experience in using SQL to test backend data.
13. Ability to work in hybrid environment; Agile and Waterfall
14. Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through in areas of responsibility
15. Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and best practices.
Required Technical Proficiencies
1. Understand database-side technologies (SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, stored procedures).
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Project).
Education and Experience
1. Minimum of a 4 year college degree.
2. 3 + years of combined Business Systems Analysis and Quality Assurance
3. Understand the applicability of best practices.
