Business Development Representative
 
Job Responsibilities:  
 
• Ability to learn our markets and the needs of our customers.
 
• Ability to learn and understand the features and benefits of each product we sell to the market.
 
• Understand applications and how to apply our products and services.
 
• Work to stay updated on changes and modifications to the product line.
 
• Know how to access information regarding each of our products.
 
• Ability to learn supplier policies, warranties and pricing structure.
 
• As assigned, attend and represent the company at trade shows, vendor meetings, trade association activities and other various events to network with industry contacts and to promote company.
 
• Actively prospect and develop potential customers.
 
• Make presentations to and gain customer commitment.
 
Qualifications:
 
Knowledge
Extensive knowledge of professional selling techniques. Know how to continually seek and develop new customers, and work to match existing customers with new products.
 
Experience
2-5 years of successful sales and sales management experience.
 
Skills/Aptitude
Strong time management skills and effective oral and written communication skills. Must be ethical in all job-related activities.  Can handle the number of accounts assigned.  Uses in office time effectively.
 
Working Conditions
This position requires extensive travel, with overnights required as needed based on the needs of the company.
