Modis is seeking a CDO Portfolio Administrator for a full-time contract-to-hire position with a fortune 200 bank in downtown Boston. Company is the 7th largest bank in the US and provides banking, investment, mortgage, and trust products to individuals, businesses, and government. Position is a financial office environment and duties including portfolio administration and maintenance within a collateralized debt setting.
The Collateralized Debt Obligation Group (CDO) is a division within Corporate Trust Services. CDOs are structured finance vehicles that issue both debt and equity liabilities, with the proceeds being used to buy a portfolio of collateral. Typical types of collateral include syndicated bank loans, corporate bonds, asset-backed securities, mortgage-backed securities, and Mezzanine debt.
Title: CDO Portfolio Administrator I  
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
Location: 1 Federal Street, Boston Massachusetts 02110
Length: Position is 12-month contract
Pay: $21.06 per hour USD ($43,800 per year salary)
- Maintain CDO collateral portfolios
- Settle bond/bank loan trades as directed by the Portfolio Manager
- Invest excess cash as directed by the Portfolio Manager
- Book cash inflows/outflows to the portfolio
- Track asset attributes such as accrual information, ratings, industry codes, etc.
- Provide reports to the clients on a daily, monthly, and a quarterly basis
- Assist Analysts with reporting to the investors
- Ensure 100% accuracy and timeliness of data through proper booking and reconciliation of account activity
- Actively ensures compliance with the  Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures.
- Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas.
- Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required, for this position.
- Actively works with customers to understand each customer’s normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 1-2 years’ experience in collateral portfolios and/or mutual funds
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Basic indenture interpretation abilities and analytical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Able to work independently and as a team player
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
- Some knowledge of Wall street Office, SEI, and CDO Suite preferred
