A Chemical Process Technician Job in Newark, CA, is available courtesy of Modis Engineering. In this job you will work in a chemical lab environment on synthesis and characterization of various compounds. To be considered for this position you must bring a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field and a minimum of three years relevant experience in a chemical lab environment. This is a one year long contract with a world leading high tech company who is headquartered in Cupertino, CA.

Chemical Process Technician Job Responsibilities Include:

Rigorously follow process and equipment SOPs and adhere to safe chemical handling practice
Performs quality control tests on materials to ensure specifications are met
Uses MEC, SPC and CAPAs to ensure quality and traceability
Executes experiments individually or together with process engineers and writes reports on the results
Writes and implements operating procedures and work instructions


Familiarity with lab and process equipment, safety practices and chemical analysis techniques
Nanomaterial synthesis and air-free handling experience preferred
Excellent attention to detail
Available for 40-50 hours per week
