Modis is looking to fill a Direct Hire Chief Financial Officer role with one of the largest banks in the United States! Our client is looking for an individual who can oversee and set goals for Tax Strategy and Analysis, Accounting, Finance and Treasury Functions. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic and technical accounting guidance to the CEO on new, complex transactions as well as financial analysis on acquisitions, sale and securitization of tax equity investments.
 
This individual most have strong experience with derivatives, mergers and restructurings, valuation of intangibles and general tax concepts. Our client would also like for this individual to have a Master's Degree (MBA preferred) and/or CPA.

Job Description

Function:       
CDC Chief Financial Officer oversees setting strategic goals for Tax Strategy and Analysis, Accounting, Finance and the Treasury functions for the CDC. The CDC CFO will be responsible for the pricing and financial analysis in support of transaction analysis including acquisition, sale and securitization of tax equity investments made by the CDC.  
 
The CDC CFO will provide strategic and technical accounting advice and guidance to the CEO for new, unusual and/or complex transactions, as well as developing and analyzing structuring alternatives.  The CDC CFO collaborates with internal and external senior leaders, and enterprise CFO Org. The CDC CFO is directly involved in critical decision making activities that drive or enhance business performance and/or the related impact to financial results.
 
Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10-15 years of relevant financial management and accounting experience (MBA/CPA or equivalent experience)
  • 8-10 years of management experience.

 
Preferred skills and abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting/finance principles; strong planning and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in the Finance Industry (one of the top 10 banks or tax credit industry financial institutions in the U.S.)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (existing and proposed new pronouncements).
  • Experience with derivatives and other off-balance sheet instruments, securitizations and conduits, mergers/acquisitions/restructurings, purchase accounting including valuation of intangibles, goodwill impairment analysis, equity investments and joint ventures, risk transfer structures, capitalized software and general tax concepts.
