A Citrix Engineer job in San Francisco, CA is available through Modis. You will be knowledgeable in all stages of software and desktop lifecycle. You will have a degree in Computer Science or similar. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

Citrix Engineer job responsibilities include:

Develop, test, debug and maintain software applications and server/desktop images
Assist in project planning, scheduling and implementation
Works with the User Support group as high-level technical and architectural support for integrations, desktop architecture, and all firm applications.
Support and manage Citrix Xenapp/Xendesktop resources, Provisioning servers, Storefront servers, and Netscalers.
Support in building, imaging and maintaining applications for Desktops (including virtual), Laptops, and mobile devices.
Collaborate with other developers and software architects, including vendors & contractors (when appropriate), to determine optimal solutions.
Be responsive and customer service oriented to all by maintaining open and courteous communication.
Ability to be on call on some nights and weekends when there are system upgrades and system outages.
Complete projects/tasks on a timely basis, according to commitments made to coworkers and management.
Develop system test plans, ensure software quality assurance standards are achieved, and validate that business goals are accomplished.
Report project/task status to the appropriate Applications Manager or CIO on a weekly basis (at minimum).


QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineer or similar
At least four years of Citrix experience (Xenapp 6.5/7.x, Xendesktop 7.x, Provisioning Server 7.x & Storefront 3.x)
Solid interpersonal skills
Exceptional deductive reasoning abilities
Knowledge of Citrix Best Practices.
Windows Server administration background.
Understands change controls and change management.
Experience in application and desktop management.
Exceptional knowledge and experience with Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 7, Active Directory, Group Policies.
Must possess strong developmental skills on the following: Powershell & VB Scripting.
Experience with SCCM 2012 and MSI deployment.
Hands on experience with server virtualization using VMware.
Ability to work effectively with, and support the needs of, project teams, focus groups, other development team members and the user-support team.
Capable of learning large, complex applications in a short time frame
Strong written and verbal communication skills and possess creative problem solving skills.
Experience using software design support tools and productivity suites such as Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
Citrix certification/s and experience in the Legal field a plus.
