The Containerization engineer will be responsible for planning, development, implementation and maintenance of the overall integration of the computing platform, e.g. hardware, systems software, operating systems, and storage for hosts and/or clients running Containerization technologies in support of the Next Generation Datacenter project.
 
Experience Preferred:


  • Build, test and certify the containerization system against a variety of HP X86 hardware
  • Plan and implement configuration of software and/or hardware, e.g. SAN, client, and host on one or more platforms
  • Support team in development of next generation support model for containers
  • Create automation to assist in infrastructure provisioning, L3 support and capacity management
  • Provide support and problem resolution activities for system hardware, software, and/or operating systems; acting as L3 support for the Containerization solution
  • Lead code review and write software tests
  • Take an active role in the emerging landscape of application containers and orchestration systems
  • Communicate technical design through diagrams, documents, and presentations
  • Create, document, test and use REST APIs -Operate and build Linux application containers docker, rkt
  • Extensive hands-on engineering and implementation knowledge of Kuberenets and Docker orchestration and infrastructure management tools
  • Maintain and develop Docker images
  • Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers

 
Experience Preferred:

  • Linux systems administration
  • Debug and operate a cluster of Linux systems (especially system-based distributions)
  • Managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCE, Azure, etc.)
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Good understanding of hardware, operating system, virtualization platforms and middleware components frequently used by Cloud providers (Linux, MS Windows Server, VMware products)
  • General DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering skills and tooling
