The Continuous Improvement Leader II assists in the evaluation of current business practices; helps lead change initiatives within the organization; actively engages functional business units to standardize processes and improve functionality; and aids in the overall execution of the Continuous Improvement strategy to deliver quantified results.


  • Engage and support the planned review of process improvements and organizational activities to foster a culture of sustainable Continuous Improvement
  • Establish preferred methods and best practices for various job descriptions within functional business units
  • Perform time studies and observations to identify opportunities for waste and redundancy reduction
  • Identify areas for process improvement and drive necessary change using Continuous Improvement methodology, including Lean & Six Sigma
  • Maintain a strong portfolio of improvement projects; leader must maintain project deadlines, communication and resource commitments
  • Collect, organize and distribute data to help prioritize projects, quantify returns on investment and other improvements and provide data regarding process performances
  • Propose and plan Kaizen events to help identify root-causes to issues and develop appropriate solutions and responses
  • Provide oversight and training related to Continuous Improvement tools and methods
  • Analyze flow of people, activities, materials, work methods, policies & procedures, technology and supervisory structure to support improvement objectives
  • Assist functional business units through measuring and monitoring of production activities, data analysis, trend identification and establishment of projects that drive improvement
  • Participate in the Strategic Planning process by establishing goals and objectives for Continuous Improvement and cost reduction projects
  • Must be able to demonstrate Benefits Realization by effectively managing how time and resources are invested into making desirable changes to the organization


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of direct Continuous Improvement experience with a proven track record of excellence
  • 3+ years of Operational Excellence related to the Service industry
  • 5+ of professional experience in a management or leadership capacity
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively in verbally, in written form, and electronically
  • Must have the ability think quickly and make sound, confident decisions
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, attention to detail, and follow through, or perform effectively as part of a team
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, successfully multi-task while maintaining organization and respond positively to constructive criticism
  • Strong desire to exceed expectations through difficult challenges, coupled with the ability to remain positive and solution focused
  • Strong and diverse change management skills
  • Ability to work across all levels to influence key stakeholders and lead through influence
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours and travel when necessary
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications and databases applicable to Continuous Improvement
  • Explore and evaluate new technologies that lead to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and analytical ability


  • Proven expertise in deploying Lean and Six Sigma programs and initiatives, and directing teams to achieve desired results using those methodologies
  • Supply Chain Optimization, Total Quality Management/Total Productive Maintenance, Operational Excellence experience
  • Lean manufacturing Certificate and/or Green Belt Certification (Black Belt preferred)
  • Experience in implementing a Continuous Improvement program within a “Green Field” environment
