Our Fortune 100 Manufacturing Client is seeking an experienced CSS Field Technician/Desktop Engineer to join their internal team on a contract-to-hire basis in Norwich, Connecticut, for at least 6 months.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 


  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Advanced Troubleshooting
  • Application packaging – InstallShield, Flexera Admin Studio, Wise / SMS Installer, and Microsoft AppV
  • PowerShell and Advanced Batch Scripting
  • Understanding of VMWare and virtual desktop environments
  • Understanding of Active Directory and GPOs

 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Software Distribution and 3rd level support of application packages for multiple client locations
  • Analysis and reporting on software distribution and inventory data 
  • Responsible to ensure account inventory penetration targets are met
  • Quality assurance through engineering lab testing procedures and end client acceptance testing
  • Development of automated and manual work instruction procedures
  • Create and maintain work instruction documents
  • Align with other global key organizations such as Service Desks, Service Delivery, Server management, and Networking.
  • Consulting, analysis, and desktop strategy proposals for service delivery
  • Mentor members of the Desktop Services team - including help-desk, field technicians, and peers within the engineering team.
