A Fortune 500 financial investment is looking for a Customer Retirement Service Representative for their Indianapolis, IN team.
 
Job Description:
Title: Customer Retirement Service Representative
Pay: $16/hr
Contract Duration: 3 Month Contract
Schedule/Hours: M-F, Standard business hours
 
Job Overview:
The primary role of the job is to set up distribution requests for clients who have IRAs. The clients send in these requests via a form they fill out. These forms are then received by retirement services to make sure all the information is on the form needed to process the request on behalf of the client.
The consultant may make an outbound call to the client asking for more information if it is needed. IRA distributions are typically requests that are made by those are of the age to require a distribution which is 74 ½ years of age. Therefore, those consultants may be dealing with people who are not as savy with technology, may not understand fully how these kinds of accounts work, and may have some other issues like hearing loss which requires the other person on the phone to have patience and compassion for those clients. Not all clients are going to be of this age but most will be over 74 ½.
 
They are required to take a distribution from an IRA when they turn 74 ½ and in increments as they age more. The end of the year is a busy time of year because many are trying to avoid the tax penalties involved with not taking a distribution when required by law.
 
 
Job Duties:


  • Use a system to look at client documents for IRA’s
  • Process information and analyze what the client needs (I.E. going through client’s financial profile, processing information, and ultimately helping decide which avenue they should take regarding the IRA)
  • Will need to make some outbound calls to these clients to follow up or ask for more information
