A Customer Engineer job is available in Chandler, AZ courtesy of Modis. You will need experience repairing and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and/or electro-mechanical systems in order to be a qualified skill match for this role. You will learn the job from the ground up, assisting senior engineers with corrective preventative maintenance as needed on semiconductor equipment of all sorts, learning and applying diagnostic techniques through the use of documentation and test equipment in a year long paid training period. The rate of pay depends on experience.

Customer Engineer job responsibilities include:


Diagnose and resolve basic technical problems
Assists senior engineers with corrective maintenance as needed
Will be trained to perform preventative maintenance independently
Learn and apply diagnostic techniques and use of documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers
Use good customer service skills at all times while maintaining a professional demeanor and displaying respect for the customer by maintaining a neat and orderly work area
Demonstrate a positive attitude in less than optimal customer situations
May be exposed to cramped work space, mechanical, electrical, and/or chemical hazards
Awareness/ attentiveness to safety precautions at all times
Comply with all safety procedures and consistently and demonstrate safety as a value
Highly motivated individuals willing work in a fast paced and highly technical environment


QUALIFICATIONS:


Either an Associates degree or strong verifiable professional work experience as it relates to the electronics, microelectronics, electrical, and/or electro-mechanical fields- applicable military experience will be strongly considered.
Experience building and rebuilding electrical, electronic, and/ or electro-mechanical systems
Experience repairing and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and/ or electro-mechanical systems down to the component level
Experience with automotive or motor maintenance helps
Verifiable work history that includes "hands-on" electrical, electronic, and/or electro-mechanical/ mechanical experience
Ability to read schematics
Demonstrated capability to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
Ability to effectively use hand tools, meters, scopes, and other pertinent specialized equipment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Applicants must take an In person basic electronics test in order to be considered
Ability to routinely lift, pull, or push objects of up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation
Occasionally required to work while standing or crouching, for prolonged periods of time; with routine bending, stooping, reaching, and walking
Willing and able to travel in the United States or over seas (internationally) for either short or sometimes extended period(s) of time, to complete company training
Will be required to work overtime and / or travel on short notice, including being asked to occasionally work alternate shifts as required/needed, any day of the week, morning, swing, and/or graveyard shifts, 24/7
Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
Background and employment verification required
