A well known health insurance company is looking for a Grievance/Appeals Representative for their Tampa, FL.
 
Job Details:
Location: Tampa, FL
Contract Duration: 4 months
Schedule/Hours: M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm
Start Date: ASAP
 
Job Overview:


  • Grievance and Appeals Rep I - looking for 2 candidates who have a good history with customer service skills
  • Prefer a customer service background in a managed care setting because the primary responsibilities will be resolving member complaints and grievances
  • Reaching out to members to ask questions - helping them resolve
  • Will be a liaison on the members behalf to try and get grievances resolved timely.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills are necessary
  • Very computer intensive - need someone who can learn quickly
  • Critical thinking skills. Handle member grievances and complaints that come through the state agency - communication back to them when there is a discrepancy
  • Ability to handle irate callers
  • De-escalate things independently
  • Not required to analyze and process claims - more on conducting investigations.
  • Directly through computer applications - Microsoft suite always helps (submit any Microsoft testing that might help your candidates stand out)

 
Job Qualifications:

  • Top skills - verbal and written - organizational skills - PC proficiency - able to adapt.
  • Any previous healthcare insurance experience would be preferable
  • General understanding of how benefits work
