Modis is currently seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Data Analyst in the Greater Nashville Tennessee Area on a Direct Hire basis!
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for working directly with management in building requirements and analysis documents and will build new scripted analytical procedures for various initiatives, operational efficiencies, automation, and other business solutions as needed.
  • Responsible for updating and assuring the integrity of the data used in the various analyses and for performing routine data maintenance.
  • Supports the team's data analytic Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) function which includes extracting data from approved sources, cleansing and formatting the data, and publishing it as needed to Microsoft Access, ACL, SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, etc. using SQL, scripted languages, VBA, batch files, Task Scheduler, etc.
  • Creates and issues ad-hoc reports with quality information and explanations, including actionable information for management as needed.
  • Performs research of variance items uncovered by analytics using the ERP system (SAP) and other sources as needed.

 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:

  • General understanding of general ledger postings
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivots, macros, VBA)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Access (queries, macros, forms, reports)
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • General knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
  • SAP tables knowledge is preferred, but not required
  • PowerBI knowledge is preferred, but not required
