A Data Engineer job in West Chester, OH is available through Modis Engineering. You will mainly work as ETL specialist who will help to load various data sets to cloud based Hadoop environment and prepare give data sets for advanced statistical analysis. You will closely collaborate with Data Scientist and will likely interact with business users. The shift is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.

Data Engineer job responsibilities include:
• Data loading
• Data cleansing
• Data scraping
• Data pre-processing
• Data mining for analysis purposes
• Data integration
• Data provisioning

• Computer Science or Business degree or equivalent working experience
• Seven to ten years’ experience in the Information Technology field with a minimum of five years’ experience specifically architecting or implementing data processing solutions
• Experience with the following: HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, Hive, Apache Pig, Hue, Sqoop, Kafka, and Cloudera Manager
• Authorization mechanism in HDFS, YARN and Hive
• Fluent communication in English
• Statistical, data science knowledge and experience preferred

• CPG industry knowledge and experience preferred
