A full time, permanent hire Data Rack Design Engineer job near Downers Grove, IL is available courtesy of Modis Engineering. This chassis role is not automotive related, the individual will be responsible for the development and design of data center rack products while managing product modifications through the complete implementation process to develop the designs that exceed product performance specifications. This role will interface with management, sales, and customers.

Data Rack Design Engineer job responsibilities include:

Developing new electromechanical products, including data rack level systems, chassis enclosures, and miscellaneous related mechanical hardware.
Leading new product development efforts from development of the product concept through volume production.
Working with manufacturing engineers to develop processes utilizing the latest CAD modeling techniques.


Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Five years design experience with datacenter rack and chassis assembly
Proficient in solid modeling experience to generate 3D models & 2-D drawings
