Job description:
• This position is a 70/30 split of database development / production support.
• Duties include tuning SQL, supporting database installations, perform advanced troubleshooting, designs databases using advanced normalization techniques, defines and enforces best practices for RDBMS technologies, and supports all database related technologies like SSIS, SSRS, SharePoint, and Team Foundation Server.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Architect, design, implement new enterprise systems
• Design, Implement and monitor back-end jobs
• TSQL development including stored procedures, triggers, functions, database mail, Service Broker
• Database tuning and performance monitoring
• Recommend, develop, document, and enforce SQL Server best practices
• Optimization and tuning of queries and procedures
• Work closely with development teams – Help development teams write complex queries in an optimized manner
• Perform code reviews – Evaluate compliance with defined standards and best practices
• Training – Conduct training on database related topics
• Ensure all database schema and code is protected in source control
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server (Backup, Cluster, Configure, Security, Encryption)

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support Windows Server OS on SQL Servers
• Evaluate, test and recommend third-party components
• Provide general technical troubleshooting including Storage Arrays
• Provide support and administer SharePoint technology and Team Foundation Server
