A Lead Electronic Hardware Design Engineer job is available in Clearwater, FL through Modis. In this role, you will primarily perform design work in analog, digital and power conversion circuitry for products in commercial and military aerospace. This individual will need prior experience designing analog and digital hardware for aerospace or automotive industries. To be successful in this role, you will need to be skilled in PSPICE, FPGA and Dc-DC converter design experience.

Lead Electronic Hardware Design Engineer job responsibilities:

Define Hardware architecture and provide technical expertise to support development of embedded Avionics products, project execution and design support.
Design for safety, testability, and manufacturability and select electrical components for rugged environments
Schematic capture
PCB area estimation, power dissipation, component stress
Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits
Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA)
Perform Circuit Worst Case Analysis
Perform Electrical simulation
Sensor interface design (tachometers, accelerometers, synchros, etc.)


BS Electronic Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Two years of experience designing analog and digital hardware for airborne or automotive applications
Understanding of analog, digital, and power theory
Expertise with PSPICE CAD design tools
Development to DO-254 and DO-160 standards
FPGA design experience
DC to DC converters design experience
