Desktop Security Analyst
Are you a person who is passionate about support?  Do you have excellent problem solving skills with a true attention to detail? Do you have at least 2 years of experience with Symantec Endpoint Protection?  If you answered yes to these questions, I want to speak with you.  I am currently looking to fill a Desktop Security Analyst role with one of my highly sought after clients here in Austin. This is a FULL TIME direct hire opportunity with a base salary of up to $50K and an at risk bonus potential of 5-10%.

  • Administer and maintain desktop security computer systems by utilizing Symantec Endpoint Protection, Mandiant FireEye and CrowdStrike Falcon along with various other endpoint security solutions
  • Monitor, report, respond and mitigate workstation malware and virus related threats
  • Creation and implementation of new security products, technologies, practices and methodologies
  • Track and analyze trends in workstation security related events
  • Support and development of junior team members
  • Maintain information on all support requests in the IT ticketing system
  • Respond to all support requests in a mature, friendly, and timely manner

Technical Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience managing endpoint security systems covering a large fleet of workstations, leveraging management consoles and automated solutions
  • 1-3 years of experience with enterprise systems management tools, including development and support of software updates, application deployments, operating system deployments, queries and reporting, compliance baselines, and remediation scripts
  • 1-3 years of Experience with industry-standard tools and frameworks such as Windows PowerShell, Windows command-line tools, Visual Basic scripting, Windows Management Query Language (WQL), and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)
  • 1-3 years of experience with Active Directory, including user and computer object creation and management and Group Policy Object creation and management
  • Must have experience working in a medium to large scale globally dispersed desktop deployment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 operating systems, including local policy configuration, registry modification, log analysis, and security settings
  • Familiarity with Windows Server operating system use and maintenance (2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016)
  • Familiarity with standard networking concepts and protocols such as DHCP, DNS, subnetting, and port configuration
  • Advanced technical certifications or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
