A Desktop Support job in Houston, Texas is available courtesy of Modis Engineering and Technology. The ideal candidate will have around five years of desktop support experience in a customer serivce type role. You will engage with end users to fix/repair IT issues as well as provide training to functionality. You will perform comprehensive maintenance schemes, including PC, notebooks, printers and other PC peripherals. You will install and configure end user software; MS Office, MS Outlook.

Desktop Support job responsibilities include:

-Install Local Area Network (LAN) client software & hardware as appropriate.
-Relocate and install PCs, printers and other peripherals including client standard software
-Update hardware and software asset data using Asset Center database upon installation or relocation of any PC equipment


-Proficient in supporting Window 7 & 8 client environment
-Basic knowledge in troubleshooting network connections with some understanding of basic TCP/IP concepts
-Basic knowledge in supporting iOS devices (i.e., iPhone and iPad)
