Desk Support Technician II Job in Farmington, CT
 
A top multinational IT Service Provider is looking to fill a PC Support Technician job at their Farmington, CT location
 
Requirements:
• Ability to interface with clients to set up PC refreshes schedule Office 365 knowledge
• Windows 8.1 experience 2+ years
• Group policy Knowledge 2+ years
• Active Directory 2+ years
• Hardware, Software Support 2+ years
• Reliable Vehicle
• 1st shift – available for off hours support of server/network infrastructure
• Exceptional customer service and ability to interact with client & internal GIS team
• Experience providing touch labor support to server/network infrastructure hardware
• Supporting enterprise domain environment – objects, users, GPO’s
• Dell hardware experience
• Exchange experience – MS outook/lync
• Asset management record keeping
• Daily management of ticket assignments with SLA applied to each ticket.
• Installation of SW from delivery servers & manual installs
• MS Office troubleshooting
• Ability to understand in-house customized applications
 
Main Responsibilities:
• Provides basic troubleshooting assistance and ticket resolution for personal computer users. Supports computer users with installation of basic hardware/software and networking components to meet personal computer needs.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots basic problems with individual or multiple computer systems in order to maintain proper functioning; resolves issues including contacting and assisting vendors.
• Recommends hardware solutions regarding personal computers in assigned areas.
• Assists with computer studies, projects, and implementation of policies throughout area of assignment.
• Conducts diagnostic reviews and produces error reports as requested by customers in order to identify and correct any problems.
• Experience working with personal computer hardware, software, systems, local area networks and terminology.  
• Good organizational and problem solving skills.  
• Ability to operate computer peripherals including monitors, printers and scanners.
