A Fortune 500 company located in Des Moines is looking to add a Desktop Support Technician to their team. This is an 18 month contract.
 
Main responsibility will be deploying laptops. This is the person that builds laptops for all new hires in Des Moines. Desktop support experience needed.
Normal 1st shift.
 
Reports to Workplace Services.  This team is responsible for incidents and requests for end point devices (hands on for the Des Moines Campus, remote support across the enterprise).  
 
Role description:  Working with the deployment (request) portion of the Red Team; obtain computer site surveys (inventory) for existing computers, scheduling the date/time of the deployment of the new computer with the end user, deploying computers to end users as scheduled. Computer deployments will be expected at a rate of approximately one every 30-45 minutes.  
 
Required skills:  


  • Entry level (basic) computing, troubleshooting and technical skills
  • Must be able to organize work and execute with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated excellent personal relations/customer skills in person and via telephone.
