A fulltime Desktop Support job located in Chicago, IL is available curtesy of Modis, Inc. Interested candidates must have a proven record with Windows 8.1, Serves 2012/2016 and Hyper-V. The main responsibility of this job will be reimaging company laptops and assist with Help Desk functions for staff – creating and responding to tech support requests via telephone, email and support system.

Desktop Support job responsibilities include:

Responsible for trouble shooting personal computers in a Microsoft Windows domain.
Provide technical support and assist with managing and troubleshooting all network servers, such as domain controllers, file, database, and other application servers
Responsible for managing and troubleshooting all telephony equipment, such as the PBX, fax, voice mail server, and computer telephone integrated systems.
Operate, maintain and monitor networking equipment, such as routers, firewalls, switches, and gateway security devices

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, required.
Minimum five years of experience in a technical support role or help desk.
Position requires the ability to physically lift and move computers, printers and other equipment.
