The primary responsibility of DevOps Manager will be to lead the DevOps team supporting development builds and deployment of our enterprise applications, day-to-day operations, problem diagnosis and resolution, continuous integration, and ensuring secure and reliable service of company's enterprise applications.  This person will also be responsible for Release management such as planning and coordination of the system features or updates into the production environment. DevOps team will work closely with Development team, Server Administrators, and DBA to support our highly integrated systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and strategic planning for the DevOps team
• Administration of GIT and automation of build and deployment processes for all applications
• Manage systems and application environments by constantly automating deployment, and monitoring methods
• Facilitate release planning meeting, document release scope, schedule, deliverables, and rollback plan.
• Maintain release management schedule. Attend change management meetings and keep all teams informed of on any changes in release plans.
• Work with application and infrastructure teams to review or produce optimal, highly automated operational support process
• Improve operational tools to detect and respond rapidly to incidents and issues.
• Provide technical training and consultation to other members of the team
• Monitor and take ownership of Operational production issues and help resolve issues by closely working with development and Infrastructure teams
• Establish standards and identify task-related processes to improve efficiency
• Lead the team toward technical excellence by defining and executing best practices
• Identify knowledge gaps and areas for growth and improvement within the team
• Keep team and peers abreast of trends, products, frameworks, applications and provide concise summaries of the findings
• Evaluate performance, set expectations and goals for all direct reports.
This position will have supervisory responsibilities.

• 6+ years of Systems, Application or Development Operations experience.
• 2+ years of experience with managing a team with engineering and operational responsibilities
• Hands on experience in source code control systems and automation of build and deployment processes
• 3+ years of recent experience working with Agile/Scrum teams
• Experience with TeamCity, Jenkins or similar continuous integration tools
• Experience as a release coordinator or manager with
• Problem triage/solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• General programming skills for automation and administrative actions
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, analytical, and presentation skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly through self-study
• Strong negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to prioritize competing demands
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. Master’s Degree is a plus
