Our client located in Santa Monica, CA has an opportunity for a Digital/Video Metadata Asset Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will champion quality by maintaining an atypically high quality bar for content in line with the client's mission to deliver the best viewing experience..
The right person for this role has a strong attention to detail, is comfortable with video and metadata quality control, is a very fast-learner and is great at communicating both technical and non-technical information to internal teams and external partners. If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and proactive about self-organization, then this is a great role for you.
• Perform quality assurance of video, audio and closed captions
• Work weekend evenings to ensure timely publishing of videos assets
• Track scheduled deliveries from content owners (e.g. Disney, HBO)
• Proofread, edit, research, enhance and maintain accuracy of metadata on the app
• Fix content-related issues
• Troubleshoot technical video, XML and closed captions issues
• Maintain style conventions and accuracy of metadata
• A minimum of 2 years digital video experience
• Strong understanding of technical video and audio specifications (e.g. video bitrates and codecs)
• Understanding of closed captions and subtitles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Obsessive attention to detail
• Ability to work without supervision, escalating when needed
• Willingness to work flexible hours in order to meet occasional deadlines
• Ability to prioritize, track and resolve issues concurrently
• Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Digital Video or related degree
• Spanish language proficiency
