Modis Engineering is currently recruiting for a direct hire Director of Electrical Engineering job located in Chicago, IL. Interested candidates must have a solid background in construction engineering of renewable energy substations. The main responsibility of this position will be overseeing activities for multiple renewable energy projects.

Director of Electrical Engineering job responsibilities include:
• Leading electrical and civil engineering disciplines and estimating support.
• Manage the construction engineering support to develop teams in in the preliminary design and engineering of roads, foundations, collection system and substations.
• Facilitate the development of your team through coaching and mentoring.
• Ensure that the company is represented within the industry through professional presentations and acting as an advisor of industry boards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
• Must have 5+ years of experience in design and engineering of substations.
• Experience handling multiple large utility engineering projects.
• Experience designing medium voltage utility substations.
