ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare, in close association with the responsible design engineering department, work scope definition, and detailed schematics to satisfy requirements and conditions of assigned contracts. Assist with upgrade and maintenance of existing MVD product documentation. Establish design criteria following standard practices, precedents and reference sources to accomplish design intent. Perform complex mathematical calculations, prepare sketches, drawings and reference notes to support final contract drawings. Assist senior staff and provide advice and guidance to supporting drafters regarding such factors as technical details, standards, quality and related problems. As lead person for assigned projects, attend meetings and provide technical advice, scheduling information, cost estimates and drawing/document control information.

Review drawings of suppliers and supporting drafting personnel for conformance to customer specifications, approved practices, and standards and codes governing specific phases of work. Independently resolve complex problems, investigate non-conformances and recommend solutions. Assemble, check, obtain approval and distribute contract drawings as established in task assignment details. Interact with related groups as directed by contract instructions to transmit drawings, requisitions or related material in fulfilling specified contract requirements. Propose ways to increase effectiveness of drafting operations, such as introducing new technologies or modifying established practices and procedures.

Technical Skill Required:

Usage of AutoCad Electrical, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional
Knowledge of Medium Voltage equipment design practices
Exposure to mechanical packaging and industrial wiring procedures and standards.
Knowledge of engineering configuration management workflows
Prepare Custom Schematics for Customer Orders.
Prepare Production Assist files for use on production floor.
Maintain Wire and Component Label List
Create Custom Wire Table and Electrical Components Lists for customer orders
Publish and Release all files when approved by Engineering.
Maintain electrical drawings archive and AutoCAD Electrical custom symbol library.
Maintain Master Schematics for ACS2000 4kV product line
Use SAP ERP system for document control

Associate's Degree in electromechanical design with emphasis in Autocad and/or SolidEdge field plus 3 to 5 years of experience
High School Diploma and 10-15 years of experience
