An Electrical Design Engineer job in Grand Rapids, MI is available courtesy of Modis Engineering. If you have at least five years' experience in embedded hardware design you are encouraged to apply to this job. In this position you will develop electronics to support automtoive exterior lighting. You will also develop electronic quotes and schematics for new program pursuits; develop specifications for LED lighting, HID lighting, wiring harnesses and other electrical and electronics components in exterior lighting.

Electrical Engineer job responsibilities include:
• Design, develop, characterize, optimize, validate, release and launch automotive lighting electronic products
• Develop electronic quotes and schematics for new program pursuits
• Develop specification for LED lighting, HID lighting, wiring harnesses, stepper motors, communications and other electrical and electronic components in exterior lighting
• Communicate and interface with OEM customers – presentations, design reviews, emails

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering required, Masters preferred
• Ten plus years' electrical design experience
• Switchmode Power Supply design
• Embedded hardware design
• Experience with CAN/LIN and EMC are highly desired
