An Electrical Designer job in Schenectady, NY is available courtesy of Modis Engineering. The right candidate for this role will have an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. In this role you will apply standard practices and techniques, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies and follow design through a series of related steps.

Electrical Design job responsibilities include:

To assist in the preparation of contract documents.
To coordinate production and coordination with Senior Engineer/Designer or Project Engineer/Designer.
To develop elementary designs expanding on details, symbols and procedures.
File blueprints, catalogs, etc.
To make engineering calculations.
To perform assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring application of standard techniques, and procedures in carrying out CAD tasks.
To perform conventional designs, investigations, and surveys for which there are standard procedures.
To plan, schedule, conduct all phases of the work in a part of or a total project of moderate scope.
To prepare sketches and other activities of standard procedures and limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed.
To prepare drawings, locate outlets and devices following detailed layouts and routine drawings.


Preferably an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
