An Assembler job in Plano, TX is available through Modis. You will perform electro- mechanical assembly operations and basic job setups. You will perform assembly tasks using basic hand tools, soldering irons, calipers, and advanced test equipment as assigned. You will assemble component parts into sub-assemblies and complete fixtures including complex wiring using proper crimps, ties, and loops. You will be must have strong reasoning skills and have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry-out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Assembler job responsibilities include:
• Assembling component parts into sub-assemblies
• Using basic hand tools and test equipment to perform assembly tasks
• Doing job set ups including basic tools, jigs, and test equipment with paperwork as well as setup and use machinery including crimping machines.
• Using the computer system to obtain stock information, drawings, bill of material, and make labels.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years of intermediate to advanced electro-mechanical assembly operations
• Must be capable of performing basic math functions and possess blueprint reading skills
• Ability to use various measuring instruments such as a steel rule or dial calipers
