An Electronics Technician job in High Point, NC is available through Modis. This is a long term, direct hire job with a stable and growing supply / service company. The ideal Electronic Technician will possess an Associate's Degree or other vocational training in an electrical/electronics discipline and two years of experience repairing electronics, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. The Electronic Technician will perform repairs, maintenance, and modification of Variable Frequency Drives and automated control systems.

Responsibilities of the Electronic Technician include but are not limited to:

Day-to-day troubleshooting and repair of industrial control systems for production equipment
Diagnose cause of equipment or system failure; test components to locate shorts, faulty connections, or defective parts - repair or replace accordingly
Work independently with Programmable Logic Controllers and related components when required
Use PC's and Automation software to perform testing functions
Utilize technical materials such as manuals, MSDS, safety materials, system drawings, diagrams, or schematics to troubleshoot
Write procedures, complete work orders, and maintain test equipment

Qualifications for the Electronic Technician are as follows:

High school diploma required; Associate's degree or equivalent vocational training preferred
Two years of similar work experience required with an Associate's degree, minimum of five years experience with high school diploma
Complete understanding of electrical systems including AC/DC voltage (technician will connect to 480V daily)
Understanding of and ability to troubleshoot PLC's
Ability to interpret and modify technical documents and drawings
